Atelier 111 led the conceptual spatial and experiential framework for The Dairy, a 100,000-square-foot adaptive reuse campus acquired and redeveloped by The Luzzatto Company in 2019. Once an abandoned industrial property, the site was transformed into a Class A office and logistics environment spanning over two acres—integrating renovated warehouse structures with newly constructed creative office buildings and more than an acre of highly functional outdoor space. The redevelopment preserves the industrial authenticity of the original campus while introducing contemporary architectural clarity, flexible interior planning, and a cohesive environmental identity. Atelier 111’s role centered on aligning circulation, material strategy, branding integration, and spatial cohesion—ensuring that legacy structures and new construction operate as a unified campus rather than disparate elements. Located along the MTA Blue Line and two blocks from the Crenshaw/Exposition LAX Line stop, The Dairy exemplifies transit-oriented redevelopment within West Los Angeles. Today, it serves as the corporate headquarters for Sweetgreen, reinforcing the campus’s identity as a forward-thinking, design-driven workplace rooted in adaptive reuse, accessibility, and integrated spatial strategy.
