Atelier 111 led the conceptual and experiential design vision for The Shelby, a historic adaptive reuse project initiated by The Luzzatto Company in 2013. Originally the Shelby Cobra manufacturing facility, the property was reimagined as a Class A media and production campus tailored to film, gaming, and recording studio tenants. Our role focused on translating the building’s industrial legacy into a refined creative environment—establishing spatial identity, architectural branding, and integrated design elements that honor the structure’s past while supporting contemporary production workflows. Located in the heart of Marina Del Rey with immediate access to major corridors and the coastline, The Shelby now operates as a dynamic creative hub where history, craft, and modern media production intersect within a cohesive, purpose-driven environment.
